There are so many women spending decades of their one precious life trying to lose weight, obsessing over calories and yo-yo dieting – and I don’t want you to be one of them.
 
  I teach women how to lose weight for good – without counting calories and keep it off with ease by following a plant based, low calorie density diet. This way of eating changed my life for the better and I love to help other women achieve their weight loss goals and feel great in their bodies.
 
My Story:
 
In October 2014, I ditched the animal products for good and became vegan.  But not the kind of vegan who eats salads and fruit – the kind of vegan who eats vegan cheesecake, vegan pizza, vegan cookies and vegan chips.  I was what I now call a ‘junk food vegan’.
 
I was at my highest weight ever and not feeling very good about myself when I decided to follow the advice of Dr. John McDougall, author of the Starch Solution and eat a low fat, plant based diet.  This meant I stopped cooking with oil, gave up high fat foods like peanut butter and ditched processed vegan meats and cheeses.  
 
I also had to admit to myself that moderation didn’t work for me. I kept fooling myself into believing that I would be able to have only 2 or 3 cookies with my cup of tea… but I’d end up eating half of the box.  Same with chips, pretzels, pastries and any other calorie-rich foods I loved.
 
When I admitted that moderation just wasn’t working for me and committed to eating satisfying whole food plant based meals exclusively things got a lot easier. 
 
The result? All I can say is ‘wow’. 
 
It worked.
 
I am an ‘all or nothing’ person and when I commit to something, I give it my all and the result of eating this way really spoke for itself. 
 
The best part?
 
No counting calories! No measuring or weighing portions! That’s right.. I lost about a pound of fat per week eating as much as I wanted. 
 
Next, I immersed myself in the plant based community online and watched every documentary, webinar and YouTube video by plant based doctors that I could find.  I learned so much from Dr. McDougall, Dr. Doug Lisle, Dr. Alan Goldhamer and Chef AJ – I give them full credit for teaching me everything I know about calorie density and highly recommend you check them out! 

 

People are not overweight because they eat too much food. They’re overweight because they consume too many calories and don’t understand calorie density.  -Chef AJ
